This scanning service is provided exclusively for use on systems and networks that you own or have explicit written authorisation to test. Scanning systems without permission is illegal under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK), the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (USA), and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.

What the Scan Does

OneByte Security will perform an automated security assessment of the domain and/or IP address you provide. This includes, but is not limited to: port scanning, SSL/TLS configuration checks, DNS enumeration, banner grabbing, and checks against public vulnerability databases. No destructive actions, exploitation attempts, or data extraction will be performed.

Your Responsibilities

By submitting a scan request you confirm that: (a) you are the owner of the target system, or hold current written permission from the owner to conduct security testing; (b) you will not use the results of this scan for any unlawful purpose; (c) you accept full legal responsibility for ensuring the scan is authorised; and (d) you agree to our full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Data & Privacy

Your email address and scan results are stored securely and used solely to deliver your report. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Scan data is retained for up to 7 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Limitation of Liability

OneByte Security provides this service on a best-efforts basis. Results are indicative and not a guarantee of security. We accept no liability for any decisions made based on scan output. This free scan does not replace a professional penetration test.
